I've been thinking about this for a while now, and I'd really like to see some of you step up as leaders in the field. I think it'll be good for us all to stretch ourselves and work on building up new skill sets. That said, input is more than welcome.

I just told my team I'd like for some of them to step up into field leader roles. Even though I've given this a lot of thought and really do think it's a good idea, I feel strangely anxious about it. Does Scott ever feel that way? Not a fan.

Okay, so my homecoming got kind of rained on with the whole assassination thing. But here's the skinny: I spoke with the mayor and interim managers at Ladner-Roberts and they're both on board with us assisting as we can with clean-up and whatnot. They wanted to make a big PR thing about it but I said no, since that'll kill the whole "undercover" bit of our team. (Sorry Berto, that means no photos.)

Anyway, we're due over there at 9:30am tomorrow. I want everyone wearing large sunglasses and/or powered up just in case any photographs or video does end up being taken. I'm really hoping us smoothing some ruffled feathers will help stop them from restarting the whole mutant suppression device thing.

Thanks again for the help. You're my hero. And it was really nice to visit without the wedding chaos. Hopefully you can come visit sometime, yeah? You can even bring that hubby of yours if you like.

Made it to Westchester. This may be the last road trip my POS car makes-- I think he's dying a slow death. Ah well, his was a long life.

Since things have been quiet here, I'm thinking of taking a trip out to Xavier's to do a little powers training with Jean. Anyone have issues/objections? Speak now or forever hold your peace. (I kid, I wouldn't leave for a couple days at least, anyway.)

How busy are you next week? I'm thinking of driving out for a few days to work on that powers stuff with you.

I'm going out to Xavier's in a few days, I think, so don't come out for that visit this week. (I'll let you know if that falls through.)

Okay, I admit it-- I'm a Cubs fan. And, yes, they suck. I know this. But I've lived here long enough that I don't care.

Anyway, the point! There are only six more home games before the season's over. The next six, to be exact, and they go from the 16th to the 21st. So. Anyone want to catch a game or two before the end?

Also, Jean and Scott's wedding: it's almost here. I know everyone probably wants to go, but I have to go and be there for a handful of days ahead of time. Which means I'm going to need you guys to hold down the fort. And if one of you could just come for the day of, I would be eternally grateful. (Honestly, this is more out of concern for our pets than anything else, so I'm looking at you, Kitty.)

Also 2, Weasel? FoH? Have we had any movement that I'm unaware of? (Hey, hope springs eternal.)

I just wanted to let everyone know that Rahne has officially resigned as a member of our team. I let her know we'll miss her and we're here if she needs us. Hopefully she'll take us up on it if anything does come up.

I'm certain you've seen Rahne's message by now. I just wanted to let you know she put in her resignation as a member of our team. We have some things in the works here, so I might be calling on the X-Men for some back-up in the near future. (And I wouldn't be adverse to the idea of someone transferring here if there's any interest.)

Okay, so I did some looking and-- are we responsible for planning the bachelorette party and the wedding shower? If we are... we should probably get on that?

I feel like things have been suspiciously quiet around these parts lately. Anybody heard anything indicating otherwise?

If not, I'm thinking maybe we should see about finding that Weasel character, so we can figure out what he's about. I might be holding a grudge; jerk pretended to be my friend! Thoughts?
